Public Interest/Public Service Summer Grants support students working in unpaid summer positions in non-profits and government agencies. Students gain excellent legal experience while working with and for their community through direct services, litigation, policy advocacy and more. These placements generally cannot afford to hire paid summer interns. Your support helps increase access to justice, provides our students with an invaluable opportunity and ensures the viability of public interest practice.
We generally try to provide students with a $5000 summer grant which minimally covers their living expenses for the summer. Students must have procured unpaid full time summer work to be eligible for funding. Approximately 90 students per year apply for this funding. Please see the story here for background information about this funding. Your donation will directly help fund students. Thank you in advance for your generous contribution.
